Ed Harmon, Became aware of a terrible situation concerning a homess veterans. The veterans subsequently die due to Exposure because of a lack of a shelter.
Our Mission is to provide short term shelter for Homeless Veterans who do not have immediate access to shelter. At the present we are partnered with Maine Bureau of Veterans Services to identify current needs. There are st 10 Homeless Veterans who meet these criteria at any point in time in the State of Maine.
Boothbay Veterans Emergency Temporary Shelter (V. E. T. S.) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that concentrates on getting homeless Veterans off the cold hard ground and into a soft warm heated bed.
We do not turn anyone away veteran in need of a shelter. We work with the Veteran Adminstration Benefits and Health Care.
