  • Particapate or take part in our BBQ’s and other activities.
  • Particapate in the build of the Shelters that’s being done everyday of the week. Just come and join us. You will learn to build a shelter and meet great people, also.

Volunteer with Boothbay V.E.T.S!

You don’t have to be a veteran to serve! Boothbay V.E.T.S. Inc. welcomes everyone to join our community as a local hero to help vets in need.

We are looking for volunteers to lend a hand with day-to-day operations to keep the wheels turning at Boothbay V.E.T.S. Check out the volunteer descriptions below to see what roles might interest you and how you can join the cause!

Volunteer Driver

Qualifications & Duties

  • Be 25 years or older
  • Have a valid Maine driver’s license
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Time management skills
  • Record mileage for pickups and deliveries
  • Driver training will be provided by senior members of our team, including shadow rides, customer service skills, and veteran interface requirements.

  • Parking assistants
  • Staff & assist fundraising table
  • Site setup & clean up
  • Advertising & campaigning – Help us spread the word over social media and by canvasing local areas to post flyers for the event

    Qualifications& Duties

    To build with us, you don’t need to be experienced! We’ll teach you how turn a trailer into a tiny home and to have fun while you’re at it!

    All you need to be a Boothbay V.E.T.S. Inc. builder is:

  • Curiosity – Willing to learn and solve problems creatively
  • Commitment – Being a valued member of a team that is dedicated to its purpose
  • Care – A desire to help others by leading the change we want to see in our communities
  • Electrician’s Apprentice

    Qualifications & Duties

    Experience is appreciated, but if you’re not already a skilled electrician, we have one on staff to teach you how to wire the trailers for deployment.

  • Measure and mark wire placement in the trailers
  • Install switches and battery for module power sourcing
  • Install LED ceiling lights
  • Install exterior trailer lights
